'Keep Jorja on CSI'
As you may have read in the campaign updates, CBS NY was less than receptive to our balloon deliveries. The delivery people were run all over the place, their IDs confiscated, they were interrogated, their names and addresses taken down, and finally CBS NY demanded the delivery personnel give up the identity of the person responsible for organizing the deliveries. The delivery personnel refused and referred CBS NY to the flyer and the website. Unfortunatly after all this and just as we were about to start another phase of our campaign the delivery company bailed on us, which is completely understandable.
It also came to our attention that CBS NY had contacted the delivery company we were using in LA and demanded that they divulge the details of the organizer. They also refused. However all this has caused us to re-think our plans.
For now we will not be sending any gifts to anyone in either LA or NY. We will be seiding flyers, lots and lots of letters flyers with balloons in them. If we decide to gift anyone, you'll find details on the campaign update page, but if the gift issue becomes complicated by CBS NY's behavior, we will donate the money to Penny Lane (a charity that JF supports), and send a note to TPTB and JF telling her the money was donated to Penny Lane in her honor by her fans. Please note, nothing has been donated to Penny Lane at this time, and if it is donated, it will be donated at some point in the future.
